Conceived by the architectural group CY Lee & Partners Architects, Taipei Tower 101 was inaugurated in 2004. Stands 508m tall, for nearly three years it boasted being the world's tallest building. It contains offices, a vast commercial centre and an observatory. Polished Comblanchien stone covers close to 24,000m² of the commercial centre inside this pharaonic edifice.
