The splendid Museum of Islamic Arts designed by architect I.M. Pei was inaugurated on November 22nd 2008. The architectural expression in curves and lines mixes both modern tendencies and traditional Qatari culture. This grandiose project composed of two buildings, a garden and gallery occupies a total surface area of 35,300 m². Magny and Chamesson stones were chosen as exterior cladding. The warm colours of the stonework recall the tones of the surrounding desert. We recommend that you visit to the museum via the Web.
