Masson quarries, located in Saint-Martin-Belle-Roche in the Mâconnais basin of southern Burgundy, essentially extracts beige and pink Saint-Martin-Belle-Roche stone. Constantly modernising its equipment, Masson quarries have been in the business of processing stones for three generations.

Today, workers and artisans benefit from improved labour conditions. However stone is a demanding material. For proper treatment it requires competence and know-how, both of which are slowly disappearing. It is imperative that we train future generations to carry on the excellent work of our forefathers: stone cutters, sculptors, processors, quarrymen, layers or roofers….
